A Big Citi Kickoff!

April 6, 2010

I'm with Janet Smith, Chief Business Officer, at Citi Financial in Baltimore.

Janet likes my Ambassador Card!

As soon as we walked into the Citi Financial building, we saw purple and white balloons all over the place!  Today was Citi’s Kickoff and they’re excited that they have already raised $9,000 for their goal of $50,000 with three weeks to go.  Citi has raised over $27 milliion for the March of Dimes over the past 10 years.  Wow!

I had so much fun talking to lots of the amazing people from Citi.  They are a very happy group who sure all know how to fundraise.  They have a calendar for all the days in April with different events hosted by different departments at Citi.  Like for example, on April 8, the Legal Department is hosting Bingo during lunchtime.  On April 9, there’s an iPad Limited Lottery.  Cool!  On April 14 is an Ice Cream Social, April 16 is an Executive Car Wash, April 19 is a Pulled Pork/Smoked Turkey Sale, April 21 a Flavors of the World Lunch Buffet, and on April 23 a 50/50 Raffle.  They even have a Walk at Work for people who cannot go to the walk on April 25.

Citi and March of Dimes Baltimore together!

After the program, Janet Smith, Chief Business Officer and Executive Lead for their Home Office Campaign, took me all the way up to the 18th floor where her office is.  We saw all of Baltimore and the Inner Harbor from the windows up there.  Also, hanging on a hook was a race car driver’s helmet that their Citi Financial #16 driver wore.  It was so neat!

Right before we left, Janet gave me something very special.  It was a Top Dog award because she said I was a “top dog”.  I love that gift so much.

Before we went on our flight back home, we went to the Continental Office at the terminal to meet with their walk team Captains.  I drew them a picture to hang on their wall so they know how much we love Continental Airlines!

Awesome Team Continental Airlines at BWI Baltimore Airport.

We had a fun lunch with Kevin Shippy, March of Dimes Division Director in Baltimore, before we flew back home.

Get some rest because I heard that you still have St Louis and Phoenix on the schedule for this week. Safe traveling and ENJOY!!
